Looking out from my room in London, rain-soaked day, the sky offered an extraordinary surprise, a sweeping double rainbow right over the rooftops. But the real magic wasn't just in the sky. It was in choosing to feel happy right then and there. It reminded me that joy isn't something external we passively wait for. It’s something that we create inside ourselves like a reflex action the moment we look up, appreciate nature and not expecting anything in return. :)
On a quiet road in Jispa leading toward Shinkula, two travelers walk side by side. Huge Himalayan mountains stand around them, slowly disappearing into the clouds. The mountains make you feel small, but walking with someone makes the journey feel endless. Sometimes, it's not about where you are going, but who you are with.
Nestled deep in a soaring mountain valley, this quiet border town rests beneath a vast, cloud-swept sky. Below, golden streetlights guide the steady pace of everyday life; above, dense green mountains tower in silent grandeur. Captured from a high vantage point, the photo highlights the gentle harmony between a small human community and the overwhelming scale of the natural world.
Deep in the holy land of Tibet, along the journey toward Mount Kailash, life expresses devotion in gentle ways. Beneath fluttering prayer flags and temple roofs, these golden lilies bloom with quiet grace. A living reminder of hope and purity along the pilgrim's trail.
As the first rays of sunlight touch Mount Kailash, the noise of the world fades away. It is more than stone and ice, it is a timeless sanctuary where nature and devotion meet. This image captures a quiet moment of morning stillness in the presence of something far greater than ourselves.
The rainy season is the only time you will see the Sahyadri's turn into verdant green. All the ghat areas will be soaked wet, numerous waterfalls cascading at every turn and streams gushing in full flow.
The season also starts a bustling of various farming activities in all of these regions. Predominantly you will see fields full of people sowing rice.
At the end of the day as the sunlight fades, everyone walks back to their homes usually with a plastic raincoats and the farming equipment in hand.
